Meditation – Mindfulness what is it?

Given the increase in mental health issues that sadly, now more than ever, are affecting both children and adults caused by the daily stresses of living in a fast paced society more and more people and parents are seeking out ways to help themselves and their children to achieve a more balanced life.

Meditation is a habitual process of training your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts. It promotes well being, reduces stress and anxiety, improves focus and productivity leading to a general overall mental wellbeing. It makes our minds calm and peaceful, thus making us happy. When we feel happy, our minds are free from worries and mental discomfort. Meditation Therapy works on more than one level – emotional , psychological and spiritual, all with one purpose…..to re-balance the body , mind and soul. This in turn provides perfect harmony for the body.

Mindfulness is a form of meditation and is a mental training practice that involves focusing your mind on your experiences, for example, focusing on your own thoughts, emotions and sensations. It is about being in the present moment and involves breathing exercises, focused imagery, awareness of sensory body and mind relaxation.

We offer meditation groups for beginners and healers and are currently in the process of launching new meditation courses for adults and children. This information will follow shortly.

 

Monthly Healers Meditation Group
